Goa Tourism has been honoured with the Best Wedding Destination Award at the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Mumbai 2025, held from 11th to 13th August at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. On behalf of the Department of Tourism, Goa, the award was received by Rajesh Kale, Deputy Director Tourism; Chitra Vengurlekar, Assistant Tourist Officer; Janvi Kharat, Department of Tourism; and Chandrashekhar Kopardekar, Manager, GTDC.
Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, stated “Goa’s appeal as India’s preferred wedding destination continues to grow, and this award is a testament to the hard work of our tourism industry and stakeholders. At TTF Mumbai, we were proud to present Goa as a place where celebrations can blend seamlessly with sustainability, community, and culture.”
Shri Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, added “This recognition not only honours Goa’s wedding tourism potential but also highlights the diversity of experiences the state offers. The tremendous response at our pavilion over the past three days reflects the growing interest in Goa’s heritage, wellness, and hinterland tourism, all of which can be woven into unique destination weddings.”
The recognition reinforces Goa’s position as India’s premier wedding destination, known for its scenic beaches, luxury resorts, rich cultural heritage, and world-class hospitality. With its blend of natural beauty and unique venues ranging from heritage properties to beachfront settings, Goa continues to attract both domestic and international wedding planners seeking memorable and picturesque celebrations.
Beyond the award, Goa Tourism’s pavilion at TTF Mumbai 2025 saw exceptional engagement across all three days, drawing travel trade, media, and visitors eager to explore the state’s Regenerative Tourism initiatives. The showcase featured community-led tourism ventures, heritage village trails, spiritual and wellness circuits, and immersive cultural experiences that highlight Goa’s commitment to responsible, year-round tourism.
