The Goa Tourism Pavilion at BLTM 2024 was a vibrant and immersive showcase that truly captured the lively culture and unique essence of the state. The pavilion highlighted the state’s rich cultural heritage, unique festivals, adventure tourism offerings and the lesser-known but equally enchanting hinterland. Emphasizing Goa’s position as the first state in India to adopt a Regenerative Tourism approach, the pavilion presented a holistic view of the destination, focusing on sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and local communities.

Visitors were particularly drawn to the pavilion’s presentations on Goa’s diverse attractions. The Goa Tourism delegations highlighted the Ekadasha Teertha and the upcoming St. Francis Xavier Exposition, which aligns with the state’s regenerative tourism principles.

Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director Tourism and Managing Director, GTDC stated, ”We are delighted with the enthusiastic start to BLTM 2024, a crucial event that enables us to showcase the diverse offerings of Goa on a global stage. Goa is a place where rich cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, and the potential for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism converge. With its world-class infrastructure and stunning landscapes, Goa is perfectly positioned as a premier destination for MICE events, offering a seamless blend of leisure and business. Moreover, we are committed to pioneering regenerative tourism practices that enrich the local community and preserve Goa’s authentic charm. Engaging with international travel professionals and potential visitors at BLTM is essential to solidifying Goa’s status as a top-tier destination for both leisure and MICE tourism.”

Pravinkumar Faldessai, Marketing Manager, GTDC said, “Our participation in BLTM 2024 began on a high note, allowing visitors to explore and learn about Goa’s diverse attractions and special offering for global travellers. The positive response from attendees and the industry players was very encouraging which reaffirms Goa’s status as a premier destination for tourism.”

The enthusiastic response from attendees underscored the growing interest in exploring Goa’s offerings beyond its famous beaches, with many expressing a keen desire to learn more about the state’s unique blend of tradition, culture, and natural beauty. The event also served as a valuable networking opportunity, fostering connections with key stakeholders in the travel and tourism industry. This engagement further strengthens Goa’s position as a leading and innovative tourism destination.
