Panjim, February 15, 2023: Goa Tourism put up an impressive show at India’s largest tourism fair, South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE), from 9th to 11th Feb at Greater Noida.

The tourism department had set up an innovative pavilion at the exhibition to promote the vibrance of Goan culture, history, cuisines, and much more, along with glimpses of various tourist spots around the state. The Goa Pavillion was inaugurated by Shri Rohan Khaunte, Hon. Minister for Tourism & IT.

This year over 45+ trade members from the state, primarily hoteliers, tour operators, cruise operators, travel agents, online operators – and new tourism services operators, actively participated in the exhibition.

With the hope of making Goa an experience  and sustainable tourism destination, the tourism department largely promoted sustainable tourism activities right from e-bike tours, spice plantation tours, Konkan explorers, regeneration of beaches, eco-resorts to bungee jumping, kayaking and much more.

The officials of Goa Tourism also promoted upcoming festivals such as- the Goa Carnaval, Shigmotsav Festival, and Chikal-kalo, encouraging the visitors to participate and enjoy the festival.

The Hon Minister of Tourism appreciated the trade members for their participation in the exhibition and extended his support in the form of infrastructure and floor space at future events.

He visited all the stalls, including the international one, and interacted with the co-exhibitors from all other pavilions. There was also a brief discussion between him and Mr. Abdullah Alhagbani from the Saudi Tourist Authority on possible future collaborations.

The event was a success considering the department and trade members received an overwhelmingly positive response from the visitors, bloggers, and media.
