Mumbai, May 3, 2024: In a landmark collaboration, the iconic rooftop bar AER at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai joins forces with the globally acclaimed Indian Craft Gin brand Stranger & Sons to unveil AER Gin, a spirit that embodies Mumbai’s coastal charm. This marks the first-ever partnership in India between a major hotel and a craft gin brand to create a bespoke spirit.
AER Gin, dubbed the ‘Spirit of The City by The Sea,’ features a unique blend of familiar coastal botanicals, including Tamarind, Kokum, Mangosteen, and more, distilled to capture the essence of Mumbai’s maritime allure. Crafted exclusively for AER, this gin offers a fresh and saline flavour profile that is distinctively Mumbai.
Renowned for its chic nautical décor and breathtaking views, AER has recently been recognized by the Times Food & Nightlife Awards 2024 for Best Ambience in a Bar, and by 2024 Icons of Drinks amongst ‘Great Bars of the World’. The venue’s design, inspired by luxury yachts, sets the perfect stage for AER Gin’s maritime-inspired flavours.
Alexandre Renoue, Beverage Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, has curated a series of ‘Perfect Serves’ to showcase AER Gin’s versatility to enhance the guest experience from dusk till dawn. These range from a delightful AER Gin Gimlet with a Kokum Cordial and a spirit-forward Martini using an Indian wine along with Vermouth, to a refreshing Gin Spritz, amongst others.
Stranger & Sons, a contemporary-style Indian gin, was the first Indian premium gin. Launched in 2018, the brand has been awarded multiple accolades including being declared as one of the top 8 gins in the world at IWSC 2020. Stranger & Sons has expanded its presence in over 15 countries and 9 Indian states.
