    The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India – Institute of  Hotel Management (FHRAI-IHM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sitesh Prasad  Srivastav as Director, FHRAI-IHM, effective 6 April 2026.

    A distinguished hospitality professional and academician, Dr. Srivastav brings with him over 36 years of extensive experience across the hospitality industry and academic leadership. His vast expertise spans hotel operations, strategic management, institutional administration, tourism education, and skill development.

    Dr. Srivastav holds a Ph.D. in Hospitality Management, along with a postgraduate degree in Tourism  Management and an MBA in Marketing. He is also UGC-NET qualified in Tourism Administration and Management, further underscoring his strong academic credentials.

    Over the course of his illustrious career, Dr. Srivastav has held several prestigious leadership positions in hospitality education, including serving as Principal at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel  Management, Chandigarh, Institute of Hotel Management, Patna (Hajipur), and as Professor &  Head of Department, Department of Hotel Management, BIT Mesra, Ranchi. In these roles, he has consistently championed academic excellence, innovation-led curriculum development, and industry-oriented training, resulting in near 100% campus placements for students.

    In addition to his academic accomplishments, Dr. Srivastav has an impressive 20-year industry career, having held senior leadership roles at India Tourism Development Corporation, where he also served as General Manager and successfully led key hotel turnaround initiatives.

    Widely respected for his expertise in hospitality operations, strategic planning, and tourism policy development, Dr. Srivastav has also contributed significantly through advisory roles with government bodies and institutions. As a committed researcher and thought leader, he has presented and published scholarly work on emerging trends in hospitality, including contactless services and innovation in guest experience.

    Welcoming him to the institution, FHRAI-IHM expressed confidence that Dr. Srivastav’s leadership and vision will further strengthen the institute’s commitment to academic excellence, industry integration, and future-ready hospitality education.
