Eco Hotels and Resorts Limited announces the opening of its newest property in Varanasi. With 35 thoughtfully designed rooms, this carbon net-zero retreat aligns with the company’s mission to redefine eco-conscious travel and strengthen its national footprint with purpose-driven expansion. The hotel is set to open its doors soon.
Situated in one of the world’s oldest living cities, the new hotel blends modern comfort with sustainability that offers pilgrims and tourists an eco-friendly space, amid the cultural and spiritual vibrancy of the city. Guests can look forward to a serene stay with contemporary amenities, vegetarian cuisine, and cultural ethos.
Varanasi, in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, is revered as a sacred hub for millions of devotees. Known for its ancient ghats, spiritual rituals like the Ganga Aarti, and temples such as the iconic Kashi Vishwanath, the city is also a cradle of classical music, textile craftsmanship, and rich artistic heritage. Eco Hotels’ entry into this heritage-rich city highlights its vision of harmonizing tradition with sustainability.

Earlier, EcoValue in Kochi and The Eco Satva in Kota became operational. EcoXpress, Nagpur and The Eco Satva, Baroda are also likely to start operations around 1st August 2025. As part of its rapid growth route, Eco Hotels aims to operate 5,000 rooms in India over the next five years and scale up to 15,000 rooms within fifteen years. The Varanasi launch marks a pivotal moment in the company’s mission to lead India’s transition toward sustainable and responsible tourism.
