Goa, April 26, 2024: Following the Earth Day celebrations, The Blue Kite, in collaboration with ‘Kayaking at Uddo Beach’, organized a beach clean-up drive in Siolim, Goa. With 20 participants from The Blue Kite team, they collected a total of 170 kg of waste, ranging from microplastics to larger debris. The collected waste was diligently segregated and disposed of responsibly, underscoring their commitment to raising awareness about waterborne waste and its detrimental effects on marine life and human health.
Meanwhile, Vianaar’s Canca and Mapusa offices joined forces to contribute to the Earth Day cause under the theme “Planet vs. Plastics.” Together, they collected 25 kilograms of plastic, paper, and other waste from the surrounding areas. Following the collection, the waste was carefully sorted into recyclable and non-recyclable categories before being handed over to the local panchayat for proper disposal. This initiative reflects Vianaar’s dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.
