Delhi Govt started bio-decomposer in farmlands
Delhi government has started the procedure of spraying bio-decomposer solutions in farmlands. This has been a long discussed issue and part of the initiatives by Delhi Government to tacke the issue of severe environmental damage in Delhi NCR and other parts of northern India due to the wide spread stubble burning during early winter.
The solution will decompose the stubble left after the harvest. This bio-decomposer has been developed by Pusa Institute and as per Government report this solution has proven to decompose straw and stubble into manure. The environment minister Gopal Rai has told the media that the number of farmers opting for the solution is almost double compared to the previous year. He said that ‘ we have added about 4000 acres of land as opossoed to 2000 acres last year. Thise farmers who have not applied yet will be issued a contact number -9643844287- to avail of this service free of cost. Farmers can register themseves and we will send our treeams to the farms and help with the process.” .
The Delhi government has been working on this project for some time and has belived in this process to make a difference in the pollution level of the city in the long run . They have also suggesuted the neighboring states to use the same.
