Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Delhi Airport has introduced a new feature for passengers called ‘DigiYatra,’ which allows them to enjoy a seamless travel experience without the need to download the mobile application. The initiative, launched at Terminal-3 of IGI Airport, aims to simplify the registration process and enhance passenger convenience.

Passengers can now utilize the DigiYatra facility by following a straightforward three-step registration process. Initially, they need to scan their face and boarding pass using the designated registration desk. Additionally, passengers are required to present valid identification proof to the security personnel stationed nearby. Once the registration is successfully completed, travelers can navigate the terminal, access boarding gates, and proceed through security checks effortlessly.

Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of Delhi International Airport Limited, expressed their commitment to enhancing the passenger experience at Delhi Airport. He highlighted that the latest initiative enables individuals less acquainted with technology to fully utilize DigiYatra and travel seamlessly. DigiYatra is designed to provide a faster, safer, and smoother travel experience, allowing passengers to maximize their time spent with family and friends at the airport.

DigiYatra was initially launched on December 1, 2022, with the objective of facilitating faster mobility for passengers to boarding gates, ensuring hassle-free travel, and providing dedicated gates for contactless processes. With the recent update, passengers can now avail themselves of the benefits of DigiYatra without the need to download the app, simplifying the registration process and enhancing accessibility.

This innovative feature reflects the airport’s continuous efforts to leverage technology and improve the overall passenger experience. By streamlining the registration process, passengers can save valuable time and enjoy a stress-free journey through the airport. The introduction of DigiYatra aligns with the global trend towards contactless and digital solutions in the travel industry, enhancing safety measures and reducing physical contact.

The implementation of DigiYatra at Delhi’s IGI Airport highlights the airport’s commitment to innovation and customer-centricity. As technology continues to advance, airports around the world are striving to provide a seamless travel experience by leveraging digital solutions. With DigiYatra, Delhi Airport is at the forefront of this trend, offering passengers a convenient and efficient journey from check-in to boarding, and beyond.
