New Delhi, March 7, 2025 : Crowne Plaza New Delhi Okhla commemorated International Women’s Day with an insightful panel discussion featuring six accomplished women who have made significant strides in their respective fields. The event brought together an audience of professionals, media representatives, and community members to celebrate the achievements of women and foster meaningful conversations on empowerment, inclusivity, and collaboration.
The panel included Veena Gupta, India’s first female bodyguard and a leadership mentor; Dr. Sneha Galande, a consultant in Breast Surgical Oncology known for her patient-centered approach; Pooja Sharma, a renowned journalist and social activist; DCP Aishwarya Sharma, an IPS officer and Additional DCP of South East Delhi; Himani Gulati, a pioneer in the Indian exhibition industry with over two decades of experience; and Aishwarya Tipnis, an award-winning architect and heritage conservationist.
The discussion delved into a variety of topics, with the panelists sharing their personal and professional experiences. One of the key themes was the importance of mutual partnership between both partners in personal and professional relationships. The panelists emphasized that confidence often stems from strong family support, and they encouraged women to believe in themselves and have the courage to form their own opinions. They highlighted the need for women to break free from societal stereotypes and take charge of their lives with determination and self-assurance.
Another significant topic addressed during the discussion was the misconception that women often backbite or fail to support one another. The panelists debunked this stereotype, stressing that it is time for women to stand together, support each other, and celebrate each other’s successes. They spoke about the importance of being each other’s biggest cheerleaders, complimenting one another on even the smallest achievements, and fostering a culture of collaboration rather than competition.
The event began with a welcome note by Ritesh Sharma, General Manager of Crowne Plaza New Delhi Okhla, who set the tone for an afternoon of inspiring dialogue. Samvedna Suman, Marketing & Communications Manager, played a pivotal role in curating and hosting the event, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all attendees.
