    Crowne Plaza Greater Noida welcomed the festive season with warmth and cheer through its much-awaited Annual Cake Mixing Ceremony, held on October 31, 2025. Themed “Mix, Mingle & Celebrate the Season,” the joyous gathering brought together bloggers, content creators, and corporate guests for a delightful afternoon filled with laughter, music, and the aroma of the holidays.

    The grand event began with guests donning aprons and gloves, ready to take part in the traditional mixing of assorted dry fruits, nuts, and aromatic spices, the very ingredients that will mature into the hotel’s signature Christmas cakes. The lavish array of ingredients, beautifully laid out, added colour and charm to the spirited occasion.

    A Whisk of Cheer and Community Spirit

    Enhancing the festive mood were the melodious voices of students from Father Agnel School, Greater Noida, who presented a heart-warming medley of Christmas carols. Their soulful singing perfectly captured the essence of the season, filling the air with joy and togetherness.

    Guests also savoured an elegant selection of gourmet bites curated by the hotel’s culinary team, featuring Fresh Burrata with Basil Oil and Sundried Tomato on Olive Sourdough, Peri-Peri Corn and Olive Puffs, Cheese and Edamame Dim Sum with Truffle Oil, Smoked Chicken Rolls with Spiced Tamarind Chutney, Tempura Prawns with Mustard Dressing, and a delightful finale of Winter Fruit Tartlets and Five Spice Dark Chocolate Slice.

    Speaking on the occasion, Sharad K Upadhyay, General Manager, Crowne Plaza Greater Noida, shared, “The Cake Mixing Ceremony is a cherished tradition that marks the joyful beginning of our festive season. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, share laughter, and create lasting memories. The enthusiasm of our guests and the energy of the young carolers made this year’s celebration truly special.”

    Adding to the sentiment, Chef Arun Vats, Executive Chef, Crowne Plaza Greater Noida, remarked, “This ceremony is the soul of the season for us. Every ingredient we mix carries a wish for happiness, prosperity, and warmth for the year ahead. Our team takes great pride in preparing these festive cakes, which are a symbol of togetherness and a 17th-century-old tradition that began in England, where the community came together to prepare for the harsh winters.”

    The freshly prepared mixture will now be soaked in spirits for several weeks, allowing the flavours to mature perfectly before being baked into the rich Christmas and New Year cakes that will be served throughout the festive season at Crowne Plaza Greater Noida.
