Gurugram, June 18, 2024: In a powerful demonstration of commitment to environmental stewardship, Courtyard by Marriott Gurugram, under the larger umbrella of Marriott International’s environmental initiatives, successfully completed the planting of 396 trees within the hotel’s garden spaces. This significant green endeavour involved the active participation of employees from every department, highlighting the hotel’s collective commitment to sustainability and community engagement.

The tree planting project serves as a critical step towards improving local air quality, enhancing biodiversity, and contributing to carbon sequestration. It reflects the hotel’s dedication to creating a healthier environment and supports Marriott International’s goals for corporate responsibility and environmental sustainability.

“Our associates at Courtyard by Marriott Gurugram have shown remarkable teamwork and dedication in bringing this initiative to life,” said Mohit Kanwal, General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Gurugram. “Each tree planted represents a step forward in our journey towards a more sustainable future, and I am proud of our team’s effort in making a significant environmental impact.”

This initiative not only enhances the aesthetic and ecological value of the hotel grounds but also sets a precedent for environmental responsibility in the hospitality industry. By integrating these efforts into our daily operations, Courtyard by Marriott Gurugram aims to inspire other businesses and the wider community to embrace similar sustainable practices.

“We hope that our commitment serves as an inspiration for others,” added Mohit Kanwal. “As part of Marriott International, we are dedicated to fostering initiatives that benefit both the environment and the community, ensuring a greener tomorrow.”

Courtyard by Marriott Gurugram remains focused on adopting and promoting sustainable practices that support the well-being of the environment and the community at large, aligning with Marriott International’s global sustainability goals.
