The Kedarnath Dham has reportedly been experiencing continuous snowfall since Monday morning. It has also issued an Orange Alert for bad weather in the state, with a warning for hailstorms, thunderstorms, and heavy snowfall in areas above 3500 m. The department has stated that it has been intermittently snowing for the past 13 days in Kedarnath Dham, and the weather is still not clear due to the snowfall.
Due to the problems caused by snowfall in Kedarnath and Badrinath, late-night Chardham yatris have been stopped by the police in Srinagar. An announcement has been made to request passengers to stay in nearby cities until the weather clears up.
