Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts has confirmed that all its properties across Sri Lanka are fully operational as of December 1, 2025, following temporary disruptions caused by adverse weather linked to Cyclone Ditwah.
Several resorts—including Cinnamon Lodge Habarana, Habarana Village by Cinnamon, Cinnamon Citadel Kandy, Kandy Myst by Cinnamon, and Trinco Blu by Cinnamon—were temporarily affected by flooding in recent weeks. However, thanks to the swift response of on-ground teams and strict adherence to safety protocols, all in-house guests remained safe throughout the event, and no injuries were reported.
The group emphasized that timely communication was maintained with travel partners, stakeholders, and guests to ensure transparency and minimal disruption to travel plans. All scheduled arrivals, departures, bookings, and guest activities are now proceeding as normal across the entire Cinnamon portfolio.
“In times of adversity, our priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our guests, our team members, and the communities we serve,” a spokesperson for Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts said. “We are grateful for the resilience of our staff and the cooperation of our guests and partners during this challenging period.”
Beyond recovery efforts, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts—alongside its parent organization, the John Keells Group, and the John Keells Foundation—has actively contributed to community relief initiatives, providing support to affected local populations as part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility.
With operations fully restored and guest experiences uninterrupted, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts reaffirms its readiness to welcome travellers from around the world to experience the warmth, safety, and hospitality that define Sri Lanka’s leading hotel brand.
The group continues to monitor the situation closely and will provide further updates if needed, while standing in solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka during this phase of national recovery.
