Cho – A Slice of Vietnam in Delhi
23rd January, New Delhi: Tucked away in the posh south Delhi location, Cho is a hidden gem for those seeking an authentic Vietnamese dining experience. Located just a stone’s throw away from the historical Qutab Minar, this restaurant offers not only a distinctive menu but also a breathtaking ambiance that immediately engages your heart.
As soon as you step into Cho, it is impossible not to be captivated by the well-thought-out interior and ambiance. The furniture, wall art, and decor perfectly complement the aroma of the delicious food that awaits you. Divided into three sections, Cho provides options for every kind of diner’s preference. The rooftop section, with its beautiful furnishings and an overlooking view of the Qutab Minar, is truly a picturesque spot. The indoor seating area and the smoking zone cum sitting arrangement offer comfortable and stylish spaces as well.
One of the key highlights of Cho is its exceptional service. The staff is well-trained, and the young manager, Himanshu, goes above and beyond to take care of the guests personally. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, the staff ensures a memorable dining experience with their attentive and polite service.
But what truly steals the show at Cho is the food. The menu boasts a wide array of authentic Vietnamese delicacies that are expertly prepared and presented. During my visit, I had the opportunity to try a variety of dishes that left me craving for more.
Starting with the Quinoa Avocado Salad, the freshness and unique combination of flavors set the tone for the meal. The Turmeric Chicken Dumplings were a true delight, with their juicy filling and perfectly cooked dumpling skin. The Prawn Dimsum with Tobico was another standout dish, showcasing the chef’s skill in harmonizing contrasting textures and flavors. The Pho Chicken Rice Paper Roll was a refreshing and light option, while the Mock Meat and Duck Puff satisfied my cravings for something heartier.
Moving on to the mains, the Vietnamese Chicken Curry was a revelation. The depth of flavors and the combination of spices truly showcased the essence of Vietnamese cuisine. The accompanying Steamed Jasmine Rice complemented the curry perfectly, allowing the flavors to shine. Finally, I indulged in the Hot Toffee Pudding for dessert, and it was the perfect end to a memorable dining experience.
Overall, Cho is a must-visit destination for those who love to experience good, authentic Vietnamese food with an unbeatable ambiance. Whether you are a fan of Vietnamese cuisine or simply looking to try something new, Cho is sure to impress. So, if you find yourself in Delhi, make sure to take a detour to this little slice of Vietnam and prepare to be transported to a culinary paradise.
