Chef David Myers Returns to New Delhi’s ADRIFT KAYA at JW Marriott
New Delhi, August 9, 2024: Renowned culinary artist Chef David Myers, also known as “The Gypsy Chef,” has made a highly anticipated return to the National Capital. He will once again grace ADRIFT KAYA, located within JW Marriott New Delhi, where he will present an innovative new menu that marries traditional Japanese flavours with his signature California-inspired cuisine.
ADRIFT KAYA, the brainchild of Sandeep Gupta, Executive Chairman of Aria Hotels and Consultancy Pvt. Ltd, is a unique dining venue that seamlessly blends the elements of a traditional Japanese izakaya with modern culinary artistry. The restaurant’s design, crafted by the world-renowned Timothy Oulton Studio, features an atmosphere of sumptuous yet relaxed elegance. Authentic raw materials, state-of-the-art finishes, and beautifully detailed furniture create an unparalleled hospitality experience.
The new menu at ADRIFT KAYA showcases Chef David Myers’ culinary expertise through a harmonious fusion of classic Japanese flavours and California influences. Among the highlights are Shishito Peppers with Hokkaido sea salt, Fried Oyster Tonkatsu with Gabriche sauce, and a selection of cold dishes including oysters with chopped Negi and ponzu, sweet prawns with Yuzu Kosho, and salmon belly. The Tempura offerings feature red snapper with coriander salad and hot ten tsuyu with grated radish, while the Robata and Yakitori selections include King Crab with Ponzu, lobster with Lemon Miso Butter, and Braised Red Snapper with yuzu kosho.
In addition to the new menu, ADRIFT KAYA introduces Majicha Tea, a beverage that embodies meticulous craftsmanship and a rich cultural heritage. Majicha Tea is sourced through an exclusive partnership with the oldest tea company in Japan, which also supplies tea to the Japanese royal family. Handpicked and crafted using traditional methods in the Uji Prefecture of Kyoto, the tea leaves are nurtured by the region’s unique climate, ensuring the highest quality in every brew.
