Chandon India announces a landmark achievement at the prestigious Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC) 2025, with its entire Made in India portfolio honoured on the global stage. This milestone underscores Chandon’s mastery in crafting world-class sparkling wines, but also places Indian winemaking firmly on the global map. The quality and craftsmanship of Chandon India’s sparkling wines also represent a breakthrough for the Indian wine industry, bringing Indian terroir and winemaking talent into the spotlight of international acclaim.

At this year’s competition, Chandon Délice, the brand’s boldest innovation, was awarded a coveted Gold Medal, while Chandon Brut, Chandon Rosé, and the 10th Anniversary Vintage Edition 2015 each received Silver Medals, a showcase of the diversity and refinement that define Chandon’s range.

    Award-Winning Portfolio:

    • Gold: Chandon Délice – 70% Muscat, 20% Chenin Blanc, 10% Trebbiano (White, 38g RS)
    • Silver: Chandon 2015 10th Anniversary Vintage Edition – 60% Chardonnay, 40% Zinfandel (White, 3.5g RS)
    • Silver: Chandon Brut – 70% Chenin Blanc, 15% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir (White, 10g RS)
    • Silver: Chandon Rosé – 100% Shiraz (Rosé, 13g RS)

The recognition of Chandon India’s full portfolio marks a defining milestone for Indian craftsmanship on a global stage. In less than 15 years since its inception, Chandon India has pioneered the premium sparkling wine category in the country, while also pushing boundaries with bold innovations.

Commenting on the achievement, Kaushal Khairnar, Winemaker of Chandon India, said, “This is a moment of immense pride. Recognition across our entire portfolio at CSWWC reinforces the quality, innovation, and potential of Indian sparkling wines. Chandon Délice winning Gold is especially meaningful; it’s a testament to our vision of creating refreshing, versatile sparkling wines that resonate with evolving consumer palates and new occasions of celebration. These awards honor not only our team’s craft but also the richness of Nashik’s terroir and our commitment to shaping India’s sparkling wine culture.”

In recent years, Chandon India has introduced two groundbreaking innovations in sparkling wine formats, with both receiving awards this year. Chandon Délice, in particular, represents the brand’s forward-thinking approach: a wine designed for versatility, best enjoyed over ice, or paired creatively to match evolving consumer lifestyles. This pioneering spirit has allowed Chandon to not only lead the premium sparkling wine segment in India but also to establish new categories, new moments of consumption, and new ways of celebrating with sparkling wine.

Since its inception in 2013, Chandon India has pioneered the premium sparkling wine segment, introducing bold innovations and new consumption occasions that continue to redefine celebrations in the country. With this recognition, Chandon reaffirms its mission to nurture Indian terroir while creating wines of international standard.
