Manila, May 5, 2025: CG Hospitality and Marriott International have signed an agreement to transform The Farm at San Benito, Batangas, into the Philippines’ first Autograph Collection resort. The 52-hectare wellness destination will open at the end of Q3 2025, joining the likes of Marriott’s boutique hotels like Grand Universe Lucca, Autograph Collection in Italy and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Autograph Collection in the United States. The signing ceremony was attended by dignitaries such as the Philippines’ First Lady, Louise Araneta-Marcos, and Tourism Assistant Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, underscoring the project’s importance in boosting wellness tourism in the Philippines and CG Hospitality’s Vision 2025 expansion.

CG Hospitality began its journey over 25 years ago with IHCL’s Taj brand in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, later expanding into India through four luxury Taj Safaris lodges in Madhya Pradesh via joint ventures. Since then, CG Hospitality acquired a majority stake in Fern Hotels in 2017. Its Indian portfolio has expanded to over 120 operational hotels, including 45+ signed properties with 7,000+ keys, while it continues to grow by nearly 30 hotels each year. Beyond hospitality, parent company CG Corp, Nepal’s multi-billion-dollar conglomerate, is known for its flagship brand, Wai Wai Noodles, spread across 35+ countries and five continents.

Rahul Chaudhary, Managing Director & CEO, CG CORP Global & CG Hospitality Holdings, added, “This collaboration strengthens our commitment to wellness and experiential hospitality. With rising outbound travel from India and global demand for transformative wellness journeys, we’re proud to offer a sanctuary in the Philippines. By combining our expertise with Marriott’s global reach, The Farm at San Benito will set new standards in luxury wellness. We look forward to pursuing opportunities to bring this concept to India soon, supporting the country’s vision to become a global wellness hub.”

The Farm at San Benito is expected to feature 70 accommodations, including one-bedroom villas and private pool villas with two or four bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a swimming pool with a bar, a fitness center, a spa, and a medical wellness center on the premises. The resort will also offer 321 square meters of flexible meeting and event space, catering to both leisure and business travelers.

Rajeev Menon, President of Marriott Asia Pacific, commented, “We are excited to collaborate with CG Hospitality on the debut of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection brand in the Philippines. With wellness emerging as a key driver of travel decisions, this is a timely entry for us. The Philippines, with its natural beauty and growing reputation as a rejuvenating destination, offers the ideal setting for our Autograph Collection.”

CG Hospitality and Marriott International have expressed interest in furthering their collaboration by exploring potential opportunities in wellness tourism outside of the Philippines, in countries such as India and beyond. CG Hospitality’s intention, by seeking to introduce modern wellness concepts in India, is to set a new benchmark in South Asia’s wellness tourism, thereby supporting the Modi government’s overarching vision to make India a leading destination for health and wellness.
