In a gesture to invite good fortune for this year, Foo has introduced a Wishing Tree tradition for the duration of the campaign. In Chinese New Year tradition, the Wishing Tree holds a special place as a symbol of hope and prosperity. As a cherished tradition, diners will receive wishing cards and gold pens to write down their hopes, dreams, and aspirations for 2024 and be invited to hang them on the Cherry Blossom Tree for added prosperity. The belief is that as the wind rustles through the leaves, it carries these wishes to the heavens, increasing the likelihood of them coming true in the coming year.
Throughout the week, experience majestic and fortune-filled Lion Dances at Foo in Bandra, Jio World Drive, Thane, NESCO, Andheri, and Phoenix Palladium in Mumbai, at Palladium Ahmedabad and at Forum Rex Walk in Bengaluru. These performances symbolize the welcome of the Lunar New Year, ushering in prosperity and good fortune while dispelling any lingering evil spirits.
Speaking about the significance of the Chinese New Year, Keenan Tham, Managing Director & Co-founder, Pebble Street Hospitality says, “I’ve always cherished the warmth of celebrating Chinese New Year with my family, embracing the rich traditions and creating lasting memories. Now, at our restaurants across all three cities, we extend that cherished experience to all our valuable patrons. Join us in savouring the essence of this festive season together with your family and friends”.
