In celebration of Bohagi Bidai, YAYAvar at Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata invites guests to a three-day cultural experience from 23rd to 25th May, marking the conclusion of Bohag Bihu, Assam’s most cherished festival. Thoughtfully curated to showcase the rich traditions of Assam, the festival offers an immersive journey through authentic flavours, heartfelt rituals, and vibrant community spirit.

At YAYAvar, the occasion will be marked with a thoughtfully designed menu showcasing traditional Assamese cuisine, highlighting seasonal ingredients and time-honoured recipes that reflect the heart of the region’s culinary heritage. Guests will be treated to a Sit Down Menu that celebrates Assamese flavours through distinct vegetarian and non-vegetarian offerings. The Vegetarian Menu features Stir-Fried Greens, Kolmi Saag, and Kachu Thori, paired with Mati Mahar Dali, Bengena Pura, Til Bota, and Bilahi Pura (Tomato Chutney). The Non-Vegetarian Menu presents Bamboo Chicken, Assamese-style Mutton Curry, and Pork with Bamboo Shoots, complemented by sides like Aloo Pitika, Dal Bota, and Dry Fish Chutney.

Each meal begins with cherished Assamese bites—Hurum and Komal Saul, Xandoh, and Traditional Laru Pitha—and continues with homestyle staples such as Joha Rice, Khar, and Posola (Banana Stem), culminating in festive desserts like Lau Palla and Payox.

Glen Dsouza, General Manager, Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata, shared,“At YAYAvar, we are committed to showcasing the richness of India’s diverse culinary traditions.
