Bonne Femme invites guests to savour the essence of Goa with its Goan Food Carnival, a two-week culinary celebration running from 24th November to 7th December, 2025. This festival showcases an array of authentic Goan delicacies and coastal inspirations reimagined through Bonne Femme’s signature creativity.
Discover the soul of Goa, one bite at a time with dishes like the Goan Fish Curry, where Bhetki is simmered in a rich, aromatic curry of coconut and spices. The Prawn Dangar offers a crispy indulgence — succulent prawns minced with spices, shallow-fried to golden perfection, and served with Kokum labneh. For spice lovers, the Prawn Balchao delivers a fiery tang, featuring prawns cooked in a traditional hot-and-sour pickled gravy, best enjoyed with Poee Bread, a traditional Goan buckwheat bread.
Non-Vegetarians and seafood enthusiasts will be delighted by the Tender Coconut Thermidor, an indulgent fusion of daab malai, cream cheese, egg yolks, tiger prawns and oyster mushrooms, slow-cooked and baked inside a tender coconut for a truly irresistible experience. Meanwhile, comforting favourites like the Ros Omelette, a classic street-style omelette served with fragrant curry and Chicken Cafreal, chicken marinated in a fresh cilantro paste and aromatic spices, capture the homely essence of Goa.
Meat lovers can savour the hearty Mutton Xacuti, a rich preparation infused with coconut milk and coastal spices or the tangy Pork Vindaloo, a legendary Goan delicacy with its signature tangy, spiced flavour. The Pork Recheado, a semi-dry spiced pork dish, and the authentic Chorizo Rice, made with Indian-origin chorizo and local spices, add further authenticity to this coastal celebration.
To complement these vibrant dishes, the festival offers a lineup of refreshing beverages like the Kokum Solkadhi, a cooling blend of kokum and coconut milk seasoned with curry leaves and mustard seeds; the Tender Coconut Feni, a spirited concoction of tender coconut water, fermented cashew-ginger kombucha, lime, and curry leaves served in a tender coconut shell and the tropical Bonne Femme Piña Colada, served inside a fresh pineapple.
End your Goan journey on a sweet note with Bebinca, Bonne Femme’s version of the age-old clove-scented Goan layered delicacy, or Serradura, a light and creamy Portuguese-inspired unbaked pudding.
The Goan Food Festival reflects Bonne Femme’s love for regional cuisines and their desire to bring their stories and warmth to Kolkata’s tables.
