Bird Foods has marked its entry in Maharashtra with the launch of its brands, The Indian Stories and Ka-Ching at Commerz III, Oberoi Garden City in Mumbai. The dual launch represents the company’s first presence in the state and signals the beginning of its expansion across western India.

Located within a prominent corporate and technology hub, the outlets are designed to cater to Mumbai’s fast-paced professional audience seeking high-quality food court dining options within business districts.

For its Mumbai debut, The Indian Stories introduces a specially curated South Indian and coastal-forward menu, with the butter-rich Benne Dosa positioned as the hero product. The dish anchors the brand’s regional storytelling approach, bringing authentic southern flavours to the city’s corporate dining landscape.

Ka-Ching offers contemporary Asian favourites in a modern quick-service restaurant (QSR) format, strengthening Bird Foods’ multi-brand presence in high-footfall commercial spaces.

Talking about the expansion, Rahul Sehgal, Business Head Bird Foods, said, “Mumbai represents an important market for the company’s growth plans. With The Indian Stories and Ka-Ching, we are bringing two distinct dining formats that cater to evolving workplace dining preference – authentic regional Indian flavours alongside contemporary Asian QSR offerings. We are also exploring expansion opportunities across educational institutions and key expressways.

Bird Foods’ foray in Maharashtra is part of its broader strategy to expand footprint across premium commercial developments and technology parks in key metropolitan markets. Bird Foods now operates in 30 locations and plans to launch 10 more outlets by the end of 2026, across India.

As corporate districts and technology hubs continue to grow, the demand for convenient, high-quality dining options within workplaces has increased significantly. Bird Foods aims to address this evolving consumption pattern by creating dining formats that combine speed, quality and regional authenticity for professionals navigating fast-moving urban work environments.
