In 2026, a shared love for bars, spirits and storytelling brings together three cities and four closely connected brands for a collaboration shaped as much by friendship as it is by flavour. On 13th and 14th January, Bar Sama and Cat Bite Club head to Goa for two spirited bar takeovers that celebrate the easy exchange of ideas between Bengaluru, Singapore and Goa. Bar Sama takes over Boilermaker for brunch on 13th January, followed by Jesse Vida and Cat Bite Club stepping behind the bar at Quinta Cantina on 14th January evening, setting the tone for two days defined by great cocktails, banger food and two places to ring in new beginnings and old friends.
Where bar takeovers often focus on bringing in guest bars to create a moment of buzz, this collaboration comes from a more personal place. It is about bringing people together to enjoy cocktails that are balanced, thoughtful and easy to love, drinks made for everyone, whether you are a cocktail fan or just out for a fun evening with friends. Over these two days, Goans are about to get an experience that feels familiar, lively and rooted in the simple joy of good drinks and good company.
Born in Bengaluru, Bar Sama draws from the city’s layered and evolving drinking culture, where balance, curiosity and confidence guide every choice behind the bar. That same philosophy is at the heart of Cat Bite Club in Singapore, where technical precision, global influences and a focus on rice and agave spirits shape every cocktail. When these sensibilities arrive in Goa, they find a natural rhythm in a place that values openness, heritage and a slower, more instinctive approach to food and drink.
Looking forward to Bar Sama’s first outside the city time outside Bangalore, Pratheek Reddy, Founder at Bar Sama, shares, “What excites me about this collaboration is how it brings together the spirit of three cities. Bengaluru gives us balance and curiosity, Singapore adds precision and discipline, and Goa brings its warmth and openness. At Bar Sama, we focus on creating cocktails that are so well balanced and carefully crafted, they can easily stand alongside the best in the world. Bringing them to Goa is about sharing that same approach — thoughtful drinks, a welcoming atmosphere, and an experience that feels effortless and full of life.”
Adding to Pratheek’s excitement, Jesse Vida, Founder of Cat Bite Club and Partner at Bar Sama, feels, “There are natural connections between Cat Bite Club and La Quinta Cantina. Not only in our focus on Mexican and Asian spirits, but also in style of warm and engaging hospitality. We are looking forward to collaborating with our friends in Goa to bring our offerings from Singapore with love.”
Quinta Cantina brings a deep respect for feni and Mexican agave spirits, carefully crafted to highlight tradition, while Boilermaker channels the everyday spirit of Goan life, blending local flavours, from feni to cashew beer, with playful modern twists.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Pankaj Balachandran, Founder of Quinta Cantina and Boilermaker, shares, “Although each of our bars comes from a different city, we are united by a shared belief in honest hospitality and a deep respect for flavour. This collaboration is about coming together, exchanging ideas and techniques, and celebrating that shared philosophy. Over these two days, it is about creating experiences that feel genuine, lively and full of warmth, the way our bars have always strived to be.”
For one afternoon only at Boilermaker, Bar Sama takes over the kitchen and the bar, led by Chef Vichita, whose cooking is rooted in instinct, memory, and fire. Alongside Bar Sama’s signature cocktails, she introduces an exclusive, one-day-only menu of dishes fresh off the grill as well as Sama’s most loved dishes reimagined through the playful, unfussy format of tacos. Thai flavours take the lead here, layered with her own culinary journey and unmistakable Goan charm – bold, bright, and unapologetically indulgent. Expect familiar Sama flavours pulled apart and rebuilt with heat, acidity, and texture at the forefront, designed to be eaten with your hands, paired with a drink, and talked about long after the sun goes down.
With Bengaluru’s balance, Singapore’s precision, and Goa’s warmth coming together, this confluence promises two days of cocktails, conversation, and connection that Goa truly loves – a space at the end of the night that feels like home.
