Mumbai, September 20, 2024: In the bustling lanes of Bandra, Baked in Bombay by Bread Boulevard is a lovely hidden gem that deserves your visit. Started by brother-sister duo Ritu and Nilesh, this cafe is delighting patrons with its warm, cosy vibe and menu filled with wholesome and delicious food.

At the heart of its popularity is the signature bread baked by Ritu, a home chef earlier, who has perfected the art of baking the perfect sourdough. Carving its space within the upscale dining scene in the neighbourhood, the top-rated vegan and vegetarian cafe offers dishes that are a mix of sourdough specialities, refreshing smoothies and a range of hot and cold coffees.

Together, this brother-sister duo has turned their small business into a popular café, serving dishes that they love to eat and sharing them with customers who appreciate food made with quality ingredients and love.

The menu brings a range of American, Italian and Arabic classics. Highlights include Avocado Toast, Creamy Mushroom Melt Sandwich, Falafel Sandwich Wrap, Za’atar Manakeesh, Chocolate Dream French Toast and Creamy Vegetarian Lasagne. For health-conscious diners, they serve refreshing options like the Watermelon and Feta Salad, Traditional Hummus, Chickpea Avo Wrap and wholesome Berry Bliss or Green Glow Smoothie Bowls topped with homemade granola. Sumptuous Pizzas, Pastas and Risottos are also available for those who love indulging in Italian classics.

The extensive beverage menu features Cold Brews, Iced Teas, Chai, and both cold and hot coffees, with organic coffee beans sourced from Coorg. You can also take home their freshly baked sourdough bread or their sourdough tea cakes as a perfect parting treat. For desserts you can try the fudge, the chocolate chip cookies or the brownies.

Talking about her passion project, founder Ritu says, “We use fresh ingredients and bake daily to retain the quality of our food. Whether one wants warm comfort food or healthy indulgence, we have something for everyone. We want our visitors to feel they are visiting their old friend over great food and conversation.” It’s the love and magic she infuses in all her preparations that bring a lingering taste to the menu.

The interiors feature light colours, minimal designs and wall art by Kunjan Sumaria making it a chic cosy spot to spend hours at. It is designed to be a safe space for one to just walk in, be comfortable and have a good time. Even if you walk in alone, the sibling duo will be around for some chatty conversations.

The next time you plan to meet your friends in Bandra or want to just enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, come to Baked In Bombay and get baked with the siblings!
