National, June 06, 2024: World Environment Day, celebrated annually on June 5th, is a global initiative taken to raise awareness and implement actions on pressing environmental needs. This year’s theme being “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience”, resonates deeply with Ayatana Hospitalities’ mission to create a harmonious balance between luxury hospitality and environmental stewardship.

Ayatana Hospitality, a distinguished full-service Hospitality Chain celebrated for its bespoke luxury resorts and hotels is also popular for their in-house practices and operations that are environment-conscious and nature-inclusive. As part of their commitment towards the environment, the teams across 3 resorts (i.e. Ayatana Coorg, Ayatana Ooty & Azora Goa) initiated activities such as plant saplings, cleaning drives, etc.

At Ayatana Coorg,  the team along with the guests planted saplings today in and around the property. The aim is to contribute to the reforestation efforts together and retain & enhance the natural beauty of the surroundings. The Coorg resort also organized a Cleaning Drive at Mallalli Falls, where all the staff members led a thorough clean-up activity. This initiative is focused on preserving the pristine condition of the stunning natural waterfall, ensuring it remains a breathtaking spot for future generations.

Sharing his thoughts on the World Environment Day Initiatives and how as a brand Ayatana has imbibed environment-conscious practices from the beginning of their venture, Mr Vishal Vincent Tony, Managing Director, Ayatana Hospitalities shared,“The idea of safeguarding nature begins from day one, starting with the construction process of the property using prefabricated materials to support reforestation efforts. Our Coorg property features a waterfall that not only provides a memorable experience for the guests but also plays a significant role in wetland restoration, benefiting both domestic and wildlife habitats.”

“This Environmental Day, we are actively planting saplings to support afforestation, creating lush, green environments for future generations. Additionally, we are committed to maintaining clean and healthy environments by organizing an extensive cleaning drive at Mallalli Falls, a popular tourist attraction. Whether it’s our property or an external site, our mission of restoring nature remains unwavering and is at the forefront of our values.” he added.

Ayatana Ooty organized a cleaning drive around the resort. The staff at the resort participated in a comprehensive cleaning drive around the resort property. This initiative is designed to maintain the area’s cleanliness and natural charm, reflecting our commitment to environmental concerns, while contributing to the local body’s efforts to minimize plastic waste in the area.

At the newly launched Azora Goa, the resort dedicated its efforts to a cleaning drive at Ashvem Beach. The staff organized a cleaning drive diligently to remove litter, helping in preserving the beach’s natural beauty and ensuring a cleaner, more enjoyable environment for everyone.

These initiatives are a testament to the brand’s dedication to environmental conservation and an ongoing commitment for a better future.

True luxury is not only about offering world-class amenities and services but also about being mindful of the impact the industry has on the planet. The commitment to sustainability extends beyond the resort’s boundaries, encompassing the local community, natural resources, and the global environment. Through a series of innovative and impactful initiatives, Ayatana Hospitality strives to lead by example and inspire others to join the environmental protection mission.
