Bengaluru, 9th January 2024: Anuradha Venkatachalam has recently joined Marriott International as the Pre-opening Hotel Captain for Moxy Bengaluru Airport Prestige Tech Cloud, the first Moxy Hotel to be launched in India. With a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry across the Middle East and Southeast Asia, Anuradha is now ready to take on this new role in her hometown of Bangalore, India.
Anuradha began her career in the hospitality industry in 2010 with IHG at Crowne Plaza Bahrain. As her career progressed, she ventured to Kuwait and Oman. She also worked at the JW Marriott Kuwait as the Cluster Director of Marketing Communications and PR. Afterward, she returned to IHG in Singapore, where she held various leadership positions within the Commercial and Operations domain. Her most recent position was Director of Operations at the Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre.
Recognized for her passion and dedication to team building, Anuradha believes in putting people at the center of the hospitality industry’s purpose. She is an advocate of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives and has mentored numerous aspiring hoteliers, particularly emerging female leaders. Anuradha is committed to continuing her coaching and mentoring endeavors to nurture the next generation of hotel industry professionals.
Outside of work, Anuradha enjoys utilizing her leisure time creatively. She indulges in various art forms, listens to music, and loves exploring scenic nature trails through trekking.
