The world is no longer the same. The unprecedented pandemic situation since the last one and half years has changed the way of everything around. Lifestyle, social norms and behavior, professional and personal etiquette, interpersonal communications almost every aspect of our life has been reshaped to various extents. But as they say ‘life goes on and finds its way’ we are slowly but strongly adapting to these new ways of life whether in office, home, street or during travel.

Work from Mountains or workation as many called it, has already become the most popular and acceptable mode of travel these days for working individuals, writers, photographers, artists, businessmen.

On the lap of Kumaun Himalayas there is this beautiful home away from home surrounded by Pines and birds. One look and anyone can’t help admiring the unique beauty of the house and very different concept.

On arrival the caretaker of the property would help you with the parking and lead you to the gorgeous wooden rooms up the stairs. First thing that catches one’s attention is the cleanliness of the place and very interesting and prominent theme of an English passenger ship. Whether in the interiors, the theme based handicrafts, wall hangings, room-gadgets, crockery everything have a clear notation of passion and perfection.

While the capacious sofa set overlooking the amazing landscape of mountains through glass panes of the windows calls for a perfect place for your work with laptop while sipping some hot coffee, another corner of the spacious room has a king-size clean and comfy bed waiting for you to relax. The lights of the room suit to your moods and requirements and the freshness of the air and aroma lift your spirit.

The well behaved caretaker would take your preference for the food for the days of tour stay and accordingly get the raw materials from the nearby market. It is up to the individual’s choice to accompany him in the kitchen or let him have you served the delicious preparations.

An early morning walk down the hilly roads around the house listening to the chirping of birds while the fresh cold air embraces your soul – an experience that can never get old and enough.

There are cane furnitures waiting for you at the balcony to take your work outside and enjoy the mesmerizing sunset   beyond the Blue Mountains. The valley goes to sleep after the sunset. The intoxicating silence of the night far far away from the madding city crowds would make you fall in love with the place instantly.

The nights in the hills are moments to cherish your creativity. One may choose to complete his/her work , read a book under a warm blanket, play guitar or listen to those classical country songs at a low volume .

“ Looking up at the stars

    As though they are watchmen

With their lanterns (stars to you and me).

To give us just enough light

To signal that all is well.”

With all of its charms of  serene location and beautiful house , the USP of this homestay is, undoubtedly, the owner of the

    Mr. Kamal

house himself.. The thorough gentleman and friendly attitude Mr. Kamal  wins guests’ hearts very easily. Always eager to help and satisfy your smallest needs he is very proud of this property and loves to talk about his passion for mountain and hospitality.

Just around six hours drive from the national capital this homestay is an ideal place for your long weekend or a long stay for workation.
