Air India to Introduce Direct Delhi-Dhaka Flights from 15 September
GURUGRAM, 31 July 2023 – Air India has recently announced the launch of non-stop flights connecting Delhi and Dhaka, a move that aims to provide travellers with increased convenience and comfort when flying between the capital cities of India and Bangladesh.
Commencing from 15 September 2023, Air India will operate four weekly flights using its Airbus A320 aircraft on the Delhi-Dhaka route. This initiative comes as a response to the growing demand for international travel to and from Dhaka, driven by Bangladesh’s rapid economic growth and overall development.
Currently, Air India operates thrice-weekly flights between Kolkata and Dhaka, and the introduction of additional frequencies will further bolster connectivity options for travelers.
Flight AI237 will depart from Delhi at 1755hrs, arriving in Dhaka at 2045hrs. On the return journey, flight AI238 will take off from Dhaka at 2145hrs and touch down in Delhi at 2350hrs. All timings mentioned are local.
Booking for the Delhi-Dhaka flights will progressively open today on various channels, including Air India’s official website (www.airindia.com), mobile app, and through authorized travel agents, including online travel agents.
With the inclusion of four additional weekly flights on the Delhi-Dhaka route, Air India will provide enhanced frequency, making it easier for travelers to connect via Delhi to 14 destinations across India and 14 destinations spanning North America, UK, Australia, the Middle East, and the Far East.
This strategic move by Air India is set to strengthen bilateral ties between India and Bangladesh, facilitating smoother travel and trade relations between the two nations.
