    68-year-old woman embarks on bicycle ride to Vaishno Devi temple from Maharashtra

    The distance between Maharashtra to Jammu is about 2200 km. Many of us would think twice even before planning a long drive to Vaishno Devi temple from Mumbai. But, 68 year old Rekha Devbhankar from Mumbai did set out on a journey in her bicycle right upto Vaishno Devi of Jammu. Rekha started on July 24th and travelled about 40 km every day.

    Vaishna Devi situated in the state of Jammu has been one of the most popular religious tourist spots in India for long time. The Temple is a Trek of 13Km from Base camp of Katra to Bhavan

    A video on twitter about this adventure went on viral and the determination, courage and free spirit of the lady have won the appreciation from people all over the country. Another user tweeted that people could offer her support in her journey by providing food, bedding and other basic provisions.
